Guru Maps - Offline Navigation is a totally free offline map app with which you can download maps of any country or city in the world directly to the memory of your Android device. All these high-resolution maps are based on OpenStreetMap data, with monthly updates to fix bugs and add elements that were missing in previous versions.

As usual, Guru Maps - Offline Navigation lets you use the app online, without needing to download any maps. That is, you can use it just like a completely normal map app to find the fastest way home, for example. You can also quickly search for different types of locations, such as nearby hospitals, supermarkets, ATMs, or government buildings. However, where this app really shines is in its offline map offerings.

From the options menu, you can access the map download section. Here, you'll see an alphabetical list of the available countries that you can download maps of, all with a single touch. Even better, most of the maps don't take up much space. The map of Turkey, for example, is less than 200 MB, while the map of Syria is less than 20 MB. Some countries, such as Spain, the United States, China, and Great Britain, are divided into several more detailed maps. Thanks to this, if you live in a specific region of China, you only have to download that map.

Another interesting feature of Guru Maps - Offline Navigation is that it lets you superimpose different layers over the maps. By default, none of these layers are activated, but from the options menu, you can select Contour Lines, Hillshades, Slopes, and OpenSeaMap. All these layers provide additional information on your map.

Guru Maps - Offline Navigation is an excellent offline map app with which you can move around any part of the world without having roaming activated and without needing any kind of Internet connection. The maps also take up very little space, so you can save dozens of them to your Android device's memory without a problem.
